Wellington, FL – November 12, 2014 – Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP), management company of the world-renowned Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), looks forward to hosting six competitions in its Holiday Horse Show Series leading up to the 2015 winter circuit in Wellington, FL, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC). The prize list for the Holiday Series is available online at www.equestriansport.com.
The Holiday Series runs November 26 through January 4 featuring top hunter/jumper competition at PBIEC. The competition serves as a precursor to the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival, which begins January 7 and runs through March 29, featuring 12 weeks of competition and awarding over $8 million in prize money.
Prior to the start of the Holiday Series, PBIEC will also host the South Florida Hunter Jumper Association’s (SFHJA) Annual Charity Horse Show on November 19-23, 2014. The charity show features a $35,000 Sweet Oak Farm Grand Prix on Saturday, November 22. Other highlights include the $10,000 Summerfields Equine LLC USHJA Hunter Classic Derby, $10,000 Palm Beach Aggregates/Siboney Ranch High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, $10,000 Child/Adult Jumper Classic sponsored by John and Monika Preston, $5,000 RC Stables Junior/Amateur-Owner Hunter Classic, and $5,000 Sweet Oak Farm Pony Classic.
The Holiday Series kicks off the following week with the Holiday & Horses CSI 2*-W on November 26-30, 2014, featuring premier “AA” hunter and 5-star jumper classes. Jumper competition includes a FEI World Cup qualifier and two FEI World Ranking classes.
The week begins with the $34,000 Holiday and Horses Opener on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The $34,000 G&C Farm 1.45m will be held on Friday, Nov. 28. The $50,000 FEI World Cup Grand Prix will be the the highlight event on Saturday evening, Nov. 29. Sunday, Nov. 30 will feature a $5,000 National Hunter Derby as well as a $10,000 Open Jumper Stake. Hunter champions will also be awarded throughout the week.
The Holiday Series continues through the first week of January before the start of the 2015 WEF circuit. A $10,000 Welcome Stake and USEF Computer List Grand Prix will be featured at all Holiday Series shows.
