Washington International Horse Show
An equestrian tradition since 1958, the Washington International Horse Show is the country's leading metropolitan indoor horse show and the pinnacle of the equestrian year with leading riders, including Olympic medalists, and fabulous horses. More than 500 horses participate in show jumping, hunter and equitation events during the six-day show. Highlights include the $100,000 President's Cup Grand Prix, the Puissance high-jump competition; and WIHS Equitation Classic Finals featuring the country's top junior riders. FTI Winter Equestrian Festival 
The 2012 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival has 12 weeks of top competition running from January 11 through April 1. WEF is run by Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC, and Wellington Equestrian Partners and held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. All 12 shows are "AA" rated and Jumper Rated 6, and more than $6 million in prize money will be awarded.

Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic
With over 600 horses exhibiting and 10,000 spectators, the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic is New England's premier equestrian event. The Jumper Classic® is New England's only International Show Jumping competition, running on September 14-18, 2011, at the Silver Oak Equestrian Center in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. The Capital Challenge

Fieldstone Equestrian

College Preparatory Invitational

The College Preparatory Invitational Horse Show (CPI) will be held on January 13-16, 2012, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The mission of the CPI is to prepare and educate student riders in grades 8 - 12 about the format of college equestrian competition, encourage academics and horsemanship, and to provide the riders with resources to create their desired college equestrian experience. The show is specifically geared to promote college recruitment of equestrians by providing the opportunity for coaches and potential students to meet.
Circle City Equestrian
The Circle City Equestrian shows, held at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN, host an "AA" Rated Horse Show on July 20-24, 2011 and a "B" Rated Horse Show on July 14-17, 2011. The "AA" Rated Horse Show features the $40,000 Circle City Grand Prix and the $15,000 USHJA Hunter Derby, while the "B" Rated Horse Show hosts the Indiana Hunter Jumper Association Medal Finals. Both horse shows take place in the prestigious Pepsi Coliseum at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds. All show rings and stabling are air-conditioned. Their mission is to provide a top quality horse show for both exhibitors and spectators to enjoy.
Chicago Hunter Derby
The 2011 Chicago Hunter Derby is a 2011-12 Member Event of the USHJA International Hunter Derby Series held on September 11, 2011. Following in the footsteps of its first two events, the Chicago Hunter Derby hopes to raise even more money for Chicago Equestrians for a Cause, a philanthropic group that donates money to significant charities, including the Children’s Memorial Hospital and the USHJA Foundation. The Chicago Hunter Derby is a very distinctive event that draws the very best hunters from all over the country to compete. The class is held on the beautiful grass in-field of an old steeplechase track with a stunning pond in the background, adding to the unique history and atmosphere of the setting.
St. Louis National Charity Horse Show
With roots dating back to 1856 as the first horse show west of the Mississippi, the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show gained national notoriety during the 1904 World's Fair and has existed in its present form since 1977. A 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization with an all-volunteer board, their goal throughout the years has been to provide a venue for some of the finest equestrian competition in the nation, as well as to support and highlight St. Louis-area charities. Their 2011 show highlights and supports both Stray Rescue of St. Louis and Therapeutic Horsemanship. This year, the Hunter/Jumper Show took place from Wednesday, September 14th until Sunday, September 18th, and hosted the Region 5 ASPCA/NHSAA Maclay Regional Finals, a $25,000 Grand Prix, and a $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby.
Unbridled Passion
Unbridled Passion – Show Jumping's Greatest Horses and Riders (Acanthus Publishing 2011), a new book by Jeff Papows, explores the relationships and the life-changing tales behind famous show jumping partnerships. With a foreword by U.S. Show Jumping Chef d'Equipe George Morris, the book opens with an original voice and continues on, bringing 22 horse and rider partnerships to life. Aided by beautiful photography by Gretchen Almy, Tony DeCosta, and Bob Langrish, the book not only weaves pictures with words, but illustrates the love that the riders have for their equine companions.
