Adrienne Marciano, Contributing Writer

Adrienne Marciano fell in love with the sport of riding from the minute she sat on a pony at age seven. She started out in the hunter rings and began training and competing under Phoebe Demott of Cedar Ridge Farm in Worcester, Pennsylvania. At the age of sixteen Adrienne decided to spend all of her time focusing on the jumper ring and began to train with her current trainer Kevin Babington who is located in her hometown of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Adrienne graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a degree in Marketing. While currently pursuing her masters in International Marketing and competing her horses in the Amateur/Owner Jumper Divisions, Adrienne combines her passion for show jumping with her love of writing by working for Jennifer Wood Media, Inc. at the 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival.

Jessica Parlon, Contributing Writer

Jessica’s passion for horses began with riding at age eight. Since then, she knew that horses would always be involved in her life. When it came time to search for a college, she only considered schools with equestrian programs. Boston University was the perfect fit. There she majored in Sociology and was captain of the equestrian team beginning in her sophomore year until graduation. With several internships at the public relations firm, O’Neill and Associates, and the sports marketing company, Blue Sky Sports and Entertainment, Jessica realized that she had found a field in which she excelled. In October of 2009, she accomplished her dream of becoming a licensed riding instructor. Jessica is a huge Boston sports fan and has her own blog on Patch. She is grateful to be able to combine her love of public relations and horses!
